What to Expect

We allow roughly 2 hours for our weekly gathering, which includes 3 important dimensions, each varying slightly in length from week to week.

1) CORPORATE PRAISE AND WORSHIP - We begin at 10 am. This time is predominantly music and singing, but will include prayer and reading of Scripture as well as the Lord's Supper on the 2nd Sunday of every month. Their is child care for toddlers and infants during the whole gathering, ages 3 and up remain with their parents in our corporate praise and worship time. Generally we sing 4 songs and this time will last around 30 minutes.

2) COMMUNITY TIME -  after singing, we share announcements, introduce guests (we don't require you to say or do anything but just let people know who you are), and generally have a couple things highlighted in the lives of people in our congregation. What we do with this time all depends on what God is doing in the lives of people in our church. This allows the body of Christ to bear one another's burdens, pray for one another, celebrate and grieve with one another, and to put God's grace and activity among us on display for His glory and our encouragement. Our community time lasts generally between 10-20 minutes. Kids 6th grade and younger are released during this time to go to their classes where they will be taught about Jesus with age appropriate material along with crafts while building community with other kids their age.

We break for a few minutes after the community time to greet one another and welcome guests personally over coffee and refreshments.

3) PREACHING - We come back together for preaching from the bible, which we love and value as God's revelation of himself to us. Our time of preaching is always directly from Scripture, and Scripture is all about Jesus so you will hear about Him. We generally like to teach through books of the bible rather than topically, but we aren't legalistic about that and we do mix topical studies in as well. Stylistically, we are informal and we will teach biblical concepts and doctrines with practical application to every day life in an effort to be helpful to you. However, those aspects are far less important than our desire to serve you well by proclaiming Christ, his life, death and resurrection. We will spend between 45-55 minutes in the word generally and finish our time at about noon.

We are a family and want to act like it... so make yourself at home, be casual, come early, stay late. We have a good time together and think you will too.
